Reanal and its main shareholders decided to expand the chemical capabilities of Reanal by acquiring a new production area in an industrial area near Balatonfűzfő, Western Hungary, in the Lake Balaton area.

The newly established independent company, named Rea-Chem will manufacture some critical intermediates for the protected amino acids and also adds chemical capabilities to the Reanal group, previously seriously limited by its residential neighborhood.

Reanal and its owners want the new company fully operational from April-May.

Reanal expects to be capable of supplying tertiary butyl intermediates for the peptide API manufacturing industry in the second half of 2011 in the same high quality as accustomed with the existing product portfolio.
